
Terminus Protocol: Galactic Defence
Terminus Protocol: Galactic Defence is a space based static shooter with endless waves of enemies to be destroyed.
In this prototype iteration there is a selection of over 30 different upgrades available to obtain as you battle onwards. Choose carefully, you only get to pick one of the three displayed when the upgrade menu appears.
(Note: Web build is only confirmed to be working in google chrome. If you run into issues there is now a downloadable version available confirmed to work on Win11)
How To Play
LMB - To shoot
RMB - Zoom in
1 - Fire EMP (Must be unlocked via upgrade)
2 - Fire missile barrage (Also must be unlocked via upgrade)
Space (In browser) or Esc (In app) - Pause game
Rough Plans For The Future
Firepower! More different weapons and upgrades will be added to the selection available during battle.
Bosses! There will be Boss type enemies added that are far larger and stronger than the usual minions.
Enemies! More different enemies with greater variety of movement patterns, weapons and fire rates.
Full release! When the time comes a save/load system will be implemented with a currency system to use for buying permanent upgrades/weapons/tools.
WARNING: This is a work-in-progress and there are likely many bugs and weird behaviours I have yet to encounter during my play testing. Please let me know in the comments if you run into any issues, whether it's a game breaking bug or pacing nuisance I would love to read your thoughts and see what I can do better!
AI DISCLAIMER: Although the majority of the code has been hand written by me, there are some sections generated by AI. These are mostly confined to enemy behaviour fixes involving math functions that I am only just starting to properly understand.
